Retaj Hotels to operate new property in Qatar

Retaj Hotels & Hospitality, a subsidiary of Retaj Group, has signed an agreement with Mozoon Real Estate Company to manage and operate a hotel and residences project in Mozoon Towers in the Dafna area of Doha in Qatar.
 
Retaj Suites & Residences West Bay, considered to be Mozoon’s largest hotel projects in Qatar. It will be one of the largest hotels in Mozoon Towers project, which consists of four towers comprising hotels and hotel apartments in addition to commercial space. 
 
Retaj Hotels & Hospitality will manage tower ‘C’, one of the four towers, in the expansive real estate project. 
 
The property will feature 39 floors in addition to a ground floor and two mezzanine levels and will offer 460 suites and apartments, offering studios and apartments with one or two rooms. It will also include two restaurants, a coffee shop, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a spa centre, fitness rooms, a separate Turkish bath for men and women, a children’s playroom and meeting and banqueting halls equipped with the latest audiovisual equipment.
 
The contract was signed by Sheikh Nasser Bin Ali Bin Saud Al Thani, chairman and managing director of Qatar General Insurance & Reinsurance Group - owner of Mozoon Real Estate Company - and Sheikh Ahmed Bin Eid Al Thani, chairman of Retaj Group, in the presence of Dr Mohamed Bin Johar Al-Mohamad, vice-chairman and managing director of Retaj Group, and Ghazi Abu Nahl, CEO of Qatar General Insurance & Reinsurance Group, and many leaders and officials from both sides.
 
Commenting on the agreement, Sheikh Nasser Bin Ali Bin Saud Al Thani said: "The reputation of Retaj Group in the hospitality sector and its success in providing traditional Arabian hospitality model and spreading its culture locally and internationally is the main motive for choosing it to manage the new hotel."
 
He added: "The tourism sector in Qatar is witnessing growth in the number of inbound tourists and a further increase in this number is expected during the coming period following the rollout of various government incentives and decisions to revitalise and support the tourism and hospitality sector."
Retaj Group chairman Sheikh Ahmed Bin Eid Al Thani said: "The partnership between Retaj Group and the Qatari General Insurance & Reinsurance Group, the owner of Mozoon Real Estate, clearly reflects the constructive cooperation between the two national companies in the country, which is a key part of development and investment, especially in vital sectors such as hospitality."
 
He added that the new hotel will offer a wide range of distinguished services. "Retaj Group is keen to meet its hotels’ guests’ expectations," he said.

We would like to take this opportunity to highlight one of Qatar General’s major projects, Bab Ezzouar in Algeria, which is close to completion and is expected to open in 2018.”

The management and operation of this new hotel comes as part of the group’s expansion plan to meet the needs of the domestic tourism sector. Qatar's hosting of the World Cup 2022, and issuance of tourist visas for more than 80 nationalities from Hamad International Airport, are expected to increase tourist numbers to Qatar. 
 
Retaj Hotels & Hospitality has recently signed some memorandums of understanding for the management of hotels in Turkey and the Far East. “The company aims to provide its brand of authentic Arabian hospitality to Qatari and Arab tourists around the world,” concluded Al-Mohamad. – TradeArabia News Service
