GWC receives Microsoft ‘Digital Transformation Award’

INDUSTRIAL NEWS

Gulf Warehousing Company (GWC), a leading logistics provider in Qatar, was recently recognised by Microsoft for its outstanding achievements in digital transformation, during an award ceremony at the digital giant’s annual suhoor.

The “Digital Transformation Award Ceremony” event sheds light on the local organisations who accomplish notable feats in the face of a new, more complex and competitive digital world, setting the technology agenda for the industry, and helping shape the business transformation in Qatar, said a statement.

GWC continuously relies on information technology to achieve its strategic and business aims, it said.

In 2018, the company established its new technology subsidiary, LEDD Technologies, as a means to equip clients with the technology services and solutions needed to enable their business transformation needs locally, it said.

During the award ceremony, senior director of corporate IT at GWC and general manager of LEDD Technologies, Maged Kamal, received the award on behalf of the company, it added.

Kamal said: “We are grateful to be recognised for our commitment in setting the agenda and leading the wave on the country’s pursuit of digital transformation, with a special emphasis on logistics-based solutions.”

“Proper digital transformation in business is now a direct need that must be addressed economy wide if we are to meet our commitments and reach our goals as set by the Qatar National Vision 2030,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
